The MGA -
Multiple Gas Analyzer - process mass spectrometer is a series of on-line analyzers designed for a wide range of process gas analysis applications. Providing compositional analysis of process gas streams, the MGA has earned its reputation as "Industry's Workhorse" through its quality of design and ruggedness. This same quality of design and production has allowed both the US Navy's nuclear submarine fleet and International Space Station to rely exclusively upon Hamilton Sundstrand's mass spectrometer technology.
Since the introduction of the first MGA in 1974, over 1200 MGA's have been sold throughout the world in applications as diverse as pharmaceutical, steel, petrochemical and aerospace, to name a few. With three unique mass spectrometer technologies to choose from, Hamilton Sundstrand can provide a gas analysis solution to fit your application.
The MGA Story
The MGA product family was originally designed manufactured and supported from Hamilton Sundstrand's Pomona, California facility (formerly Perkin-Elmer) since 1975.
In 1996, Hamilton Sundstrand acquired the MGA Trademark and Tradename from Perkin-Elmer and reengineered the MGA 1200 and MGA 1600. More recently, we introduced the new MGA iSCAN, the most advanced process mass spectrometer available.
