HotShot
The Hotshot is a precision temperature controlled, disposable vial sampling accessory for Analect's Diamond 20 FTNIR System. It provides a faster, less expensive and simpler way to measure hydroxyl value and other quality parameters in organic compounds. A typical analysis will take between one and two minutes, and deliver exceptional accuracy for hydroxyl value, iodine value, peroxide value, saponification value and acid number, and many other measurements.
This accessory uses inexpensive 8 mm or 12 mm borosilicate vials that are virtually transparent in the Near IR. These vials are used once and disposed of, avoiding the hazards and costs of solvents, or samples can be stored in the vials and retained for future re-analysis. Vial sampling avoids the delays due to cell or fiber probe cleaning and also avoids the possibility of sample contamination due to residual sample or solvent. This also avoids lost time and efforts to sort out the source of the error, and re-work the sample again.
The HotShot's temperature control is rated from 30 to 200°C. The sampler holds up to seven samples in six pre-heat cells and one sampling position. Samples may be liquid or solid at room temperature, but must be liquified for analysis. When the Hotshot is placed in the Diamond-20, the beam path is continually purged, with no possibility of air drafts or purge delays between samples.
Models are also available for use with conventional rectangular cuvettes.
ReflectIR
When used with the Diamond 20 FTNIR in the lab, the unique design features of the ReflectIR diffuse reflectance sampling accessory allow the QC lab user to make improved physical property and compositional measurements on many substance forms including powders, flakes, pellets, crumb, granules and coatings. In addition to moisture and other compositional measurements, some QC parameters that can be measured include End Group Determination, Density Coatings on fibers and fabrics, monomer incorporation ratios, residual free monomer and many others.
The process ReflectIR sampling accessory takes these design advantages on-line. Calibrations developed in the lab can be transferred on-line and up to 16 ReflectIR modules can be fiber optically coupled to a single PCM-1000 FTNIR Analyzer for reliable on-line analysis of conveyed or web products.
RefinIR and RefinIR 100t
The RefinIR and RefinIR 100t sampling accessories are designed for use with the Analect Diamond 20 FTIR and FTNIR Analyzers to simplify routine analysis in refinery laboratories for light and heavy hydrocarbons. These products can be used for at-line/off-line process analysis or for calibration data collection for Analect HSS Process FTIR Analyzers.
The RefinIR is a computer-controlled system for automatic data acquisition of multiple liquid samples at ambient temperature. The RefinIR 100t is a sampling oven for semi-automatic data acquisition of multiple liquid samples at temperatures up to 100C. Oven controllers and intrinsically safe sensors enable the sampling of flammable samples.
