936A NETWORK INTERFACE UNIT (NIU)
The 936A Network Unit (NIU) is a central interface device used to control communications between multiple 931C Process Gas Chromatographs and a Distributed Control System (DCS), an Analyzer Management Station (AMS), or other data collection devices. The NIU provides a communication network for up to thirty-two 931C Process Gas Chromatographs (PGC's) on a redundant GC-FIELDBUS communications network or up to sixty-four 931C PGCs on independent GC-FIELDBUS networks. Communications to DCS systems with Foxboro-Host protocols or MODBUS RTU formatted messages is standard. The NIU also provides simultaneously communications to an AMS system for complete PGC maintenance and data logging on all the PGCs in the network, communications with a CRT terminal and printer for data and alarm messages.
VID-FOX ANALYZER MANAGEMENT STATION (AMS)
The VidFox AMS software package is a Windows based package for a personal computer that allows configuration and management of all PGC functions of any gas chromatograph in a 936A Network Interface Unit (NIU) network. It provides for complete analyzer PGC maintenance and data logging from any analyzer on the network from a remote or local PC.
SAMPLE CONDITIONING SYSTEMS (SCS)
Sample Conditioning systems are used to make the process sample compatible with the PGC analyzer, control and regulate flows, pressures, temperatures, and to perform stream and calibration switching of streams to the PGC. Hamilton Sundstrand has significant field-tested designs and engineering experience to design and build sample systems for any PGC application.
CLEAN AIR SET (FID Only)
Provides hydrocarbon free instrument air as required by FID PGC detector. Eliminates the need for bottled hydrocarbon free instrument air.
METHANATOR (FID Only)
Converts CO and CO2 to methane, thereby allowing detection of measurement by FID Process Gas Chromatograph detector.
